Kids Yoga on the Farm

Join Happy Me Kids Yoga for a special family program at Stearns Homestead, Parma’s last remaining educational farm, run entirely by volunteers. On this day—when the farm is typically closed— we'll play yoga on the farm, make a pumpkin craft, and meet the animals!

We’ll begin with a 30 minute kids yoga class inspired by farm life—mindful movement, breathwork, and playful poses that connect us to the animals and the land. After yoga, we'll meet the farm animals (feeding available for a small additional cost) and create our own pumpkin mummies to take home. 

Details:

• Class is geared for ages 3–10, but all are welcome!

• Bring a water, yoga mat or towel (one you don't mind using outdoors)

• Wear comfy clothes and tennis shoes or boots (remember, it's a farm)

• Cost: Minimum donation of $12 per child plus one wish list item to help feed and care for the animals. Please register each child that is taking class and receiving a pumpkin.

Stearns Homestead Wish List:

• Plain Cheerios / generic O’s cereal

• Canned pumpkin (not pie mix)

• Cat food (canned patte style or dry)

• Apples (except Granny Smith)

• Celery & Carrots

A Note for Parents

Since this class takes place outdoors at the farm, get ready for a true “farm yoga” adventure. Some of the animals roam freely, and while that makes it magical, it also means the grass can be a little messy (our goose friends love to leave surprises).

We’ll provide large ground covers to protect mats from the grass and any surprises. Some of our tarps are well-loved painter’s cloths with a few paint stains—think of it as part of the rustic farm charm. Hand sanitizer and wipes will be available.

Rain Day Plan
Class will still be held if there is light rain. We’ll have tents set up for yoga to help keep everyone dry — please still dress accordingly and bring any rain gear you’d like.

Inclement Weather
If the weather is unsafe or too heavy for outdoor yoga, we will make the call by 8:00am on October 5th. Families will be notified by the email provided in registration, and the event will be rescheduled for Sunday, October 26th at 10:00am.

Refund Policy

Please note: there are no refunds for this event. We understand that life happens and the weather is beyond anyone’s control. With the unique nature of this program, donations will remain with Happy Me Kids Yoga and Stearns Homestead to continue supporting kids’ yoga in our community and the care of the farm animals..
